Hi all,
I'm in the middle of an AMC Turbo 400 swap into my LJ 4.6 Golen stroker motor with supercharger. I have the trans built, have B&M shifter, Novak adaptor for Rubicon transfer case, all cables, trans mount, etc... I have a Hesco crank sensor relocation kit but reading alot of the reviews and forums people have alot of issues with misfires at 3k rpm and flashing CEL. The only things I think I'm unclear on is if I can re-drill the OE 4.0 flex plate to take the T400 converter. If we can use the OE flex plate We are also hoping to make a jig and move the speed sensor from the 42RLE to the T400 if we can locate it properly. Wanted to cut out mounting area from the 42RLE and weld it into the T400 case. I'm just concerned about sensor clearance to factory flex plate if I can use it. Also I've heard the 258 inline 6 flex plate bolts to the amc t400 converter but I think we'd lose our crank trigger on the OE flex plate. If that won't work we may have to deal with the Hesco crank pulley and hope ours works. Any input would be appreciated.
My other question is I've been told I can just unplug the 4th connector on the PCM to eliminate the TCM control which is integrated into the 05/06 ECU. Can anyone confirm? If so I'd like to find a way to cap off the ECU connector nicely. Anyone know if someone makes plugs?
Sorry for the mis mash of questions.
