Agreed. So many things are, chromoly axles, selectable hubs, trusses, gussets, 35 spline lockers, and ahem... big brake kits . To be fair, i bought JK axles before this forum existed so I didn't know any better and I already spent $450 on rare parts balljoints, which so far have greatly outlived spicer balljoints. I think some grace is warranted for people really wheeling on Dana 44's because a lot of us didn't know any better and want to wheel with big boys and at the same time gain skills to eventually build the correct axle size for the tire size. Like I know now when i redo my axles with real axles, I'll be going 40's. When i first bought my jeep i was like, well i wont be really rock crawling, 35's are as big as I will ever want to go. Now i freaking love rock crawling! No, they are "for" those who didn't build a big enough front axle for their tire size.
