Ok since I pretty much detailed the "Ask AndyG thread, and folks kept bringing up size.

I figured it was time for this thread.

@Chris if it needs moved somewhere else I understand.

Since the first Jeep rolled off the assembly line, they have been compact, heck Jeep was probably the first compact vehicle in America!!

Just think back in time with me a little while.

CJ2A compact, CJ3B compact, CJ5 compact.

Then Jeep toys the CJ6 longer, not as nibble and always hanging it butt on something!!

Then the CJ7 rolls out!!! Just a tad longer than the CJ5, it seemed like the perfect combination.

it was still narrow so it could fIt on tight trails and like all it's predecessor's it could go just about anywhere!!

Then along comes the YJ, I won't spend much time on this butt ugly lapse in Jeep mental health.

Yes I did leave off the CJ8 but it was a short lived version and to this day has a cult following.

Then enter the Iconic Jeep TJ!! Wow back to the famous stilling and nibble again!!!

4 inch lift and 33-35 inch tires and the world was your's to see!!

Then all the sudden the Jeep world was turned upside down!!!

Wham ba lam ba dam, black Betty had a child and it was wild!!!!!

The TJR (Rubicon) was born!!! A 4 to 1 Tcase, Dana 44 front and rear!!! With factory lockers man this baby was sweet!!

The TJR was all you could ask for and more!! Like a TJ wet dream!

Now here is where things get dicy!

Jeep decided to try one more time at an over length monstrosity, enter the TJU and then the TJUR.

Soccer moms had room for groceries in the back now, and their beta male hubby's could use it to haul their golf clubs in!!

The porn movie of Jeeps was born!!!

No longer could the nimble TJ or TJR feel comfortable again!

It was like size was all that matters!

Then look at all the mess this size race has gotten us, JKU, JKUR, JLU, JLUR and not to mention the JT (which they try to call a Gladiator).

Do trails really care how long your Jeep is, do they really like the AstroGlide on the tires just so you can squeeze in them?

Guy's like @Jerry Bransford have been running short Jeeps for years and never had a trail complain about them not doing it right!

Heck @RINC been wheeling his shorty with an ugly hood, bet he has never heard a complaint from a trail.

Even @TheBoogieman with his scary tattoo probably never heard a trail complain about his shortness.

I know we gave guys like @NashvilleTJ that have to go with the John Holmes of Jeeps.

Stretched that sucker add juantons and fo'deezzzz and shake it for all the world to see!!

I say most of these long Jeeps are just making up for lost skills on the trail.

I think they are all trying to compensate for inadequate performance in other areas of their Jeep.

Wow. Just WOW. It’s 530am Sunday morning and one of us has gone philosophical.

Well I did take some steroids yesterday to ease the arthritis pain in my hands. Ate like a 2 headed hog and slept maybe 2 hours last night!!!

You could say this thread is philosophical but I would say it's all pretty much sleep depraved BS. 🤣 🤣🤣🤣🤣

One among us is digging deep into our psyche and I’m just trying to figure out how to get these three baby skunks to relocate farther down the road to someone else’s home. Hmmmmmm

Wow, how small are they, we caught 7 babies in our back yard several years ago. They couldn't have been much over 4 weeks old.

We handed and held them, they thought me and our granddaughter were their parents.

I took them to a rehab center in Birmingham.

My dog does not appreciate them. He will chase anything that will run from him. He seems to think they really stink and now he does too. They are young but have left their mom to seek out their own way. The neighbor doesn’t like them because he says they eat his children. CHICKENS. So they gotta go. Got a trap out with some salmon to lure them in. They aren’t taking the bait?

If they're really little (under 3 months old), they can't spray you yet. It's up to you IF you want to take that chance.

I’m fairly certain they can. Ask me how I know😵‍💫💩😝

They can learn early, the ones we had would raise their tails, but didn't spray because we didn't frighten them.

I wish I would have kept one, they just make folks kinda leery about you when you have one.
