I will add this. Technically a virus is malware. However it’s main job is to replicate inside your OS. Apples OS is sandboxed therefore there are no access points. Therefore some simple free protection like Malware Bytes will protect nearly everyone. The only exception may be a massive Corporation. But even then the issue pails in comparison to windows based machines.
