My glue on hand was all dried up so I snagged some of the Gorilla gel mentioned in the video, we'll see how that works out shortly...
The package only notes that it isn't recommended for polypropylene and polyethylene.
Silicone is like Franks RedHot sauce to me. I put that $h!t on everything.
Is that what the kids are calling it these days?

Someone posted a related video here a few weeks ago on this subject. It's a bit long winded but outlines the Hillman parts needed to affect the repair. Doesn't need to be Hillman brand, but the sizes would seem to work out. @AndyG is serving as the forum's lab rat on this one.

I need to do this. Drivers side is a rocking chair. It’s less annoying with the PRP seat but it’s still annoying. Good post!
I learned 2 things this morning, 1. what that bushing was I found on the floor a few months ago and 2. what that rattling sound is. Almost every day I come here I find out there is something else I didn't know I needed, fortunately this is an inexpensive one!

I used this vid this past spring to fix both of mine. I have an old style seat base and a new style, so the old style is a bit different. been holding true. I used loctite gel

I was able to get the parts at tractor supply. I found a pvc pipe cutter will cut those bushings easily. mine fit really tight so I put the collars on without glue. if they fall off I'll remove and glue them....
Same here, tried to do a dry fit but then couldn't get the outer ring off again.
Did my driver's seat at lunch, seems to work very well at keeping the seat from making noise. 5/16" is about the perfect cut length for the inner collar.Similar threads
