I dont know if either one will actually stick to Nylon but we'll see. I'll use super glue and we'll see if it makes a difference.

My glue on hand was all dried up so I snagged some of the Gorilla gel mentioned in the video, we'll see how that works out shortly...
The package only notes that it isn't recommended for polypropylene and polyethylene.

Someone posted a related video here a few weeks ago on this subject. It's a bit long winded but outlines the Hillman parts needed to affect the repair. Doesn't need to be Hillman brand, but the sizes would seem to work out. @AndyG is serving as the forum's lab rat on this one.

mine fit really tight so I put the collars on without glue. if they fall off I'll remove and glue them....
