Another Pinion Angle Question

Last year I installed a 4" lift kit on my 2000 TJ. I recently completed the install of an SYE kit and cadan style rear drive shaft. My next step is to install adjustable rear upper control arms. My question is this: If I install the upper control arms and adjust the pinion angle as recommended, will that not create issues with the coil springs causing them to bulge or contort? If so, would adjustable lower control arms remedy this?

The springs will arch some but it's no big deal. Regardless of if you adjust the pinion angle with just the upper arms, or by both upper and lower arms, the angle will still be the same and the springs will have the same amount of arch in them. The benefit of adjusting the angle with both upper and lower arms is you can position the axle in its optimal position.

The only fix to getting rid of the arch in the spring, which both of my TJs have had for many years without issue, is to cut the spring buckets off where they're welded and reposition them so the spring isn't arched.

Thanks Jerry. I did see that Rough Country offers a bolt-on wedge kind of thing to help with this, but didn't know if it was really necessary.

Only thing I have done is clearance the coil buckets for the shocks. No spring/perch changes though.

Yes, of anything all you'd really need to do at 4" would be clearance the coil buckers for the shocks. Other than that, a little spring bulge will be just fine.

Do those mount to the upper or lower spring perch? Won't they raise the height a bit?

That seems like it would work, haven't heard or read any comments from anyone actually using it though. RC certainly doesn't make finding that part easy, I looked but never found that part.
