Any Star Wars lore fans here?

It could be worse - it could be what happened in the Star Trek universe. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING dates back to a single TOS episode that wasn't the greatest one to start with. If they could just get away from "Space Seed" and make a couple of movies based on different/better episodes! "City on the Edge of Forever" would be one - so much wasted potential. "Doomsday Machine" would be another. Hell, even "Mudd's Women" would be better than "Space Seed"! I never did like that episode to begin with!

Color me super bummed they killed Bane off so fast. I mean, damn - expanding the character universe the way it should be done and then he gets 10min on screen before he's killed off. Just... Very disappointed by that. (I've never seen Clone Wars or Rebels, so I had no clue who he was when he appeared last episode)

Didn't really like this episode.

Pykes took lessons from Stormtroopers on how to not hit targets, the droids were woefully ineffective (long LOS down an open street and they can't hit people 30ft in front of them??), the only time the Pykes hit anyone was someone with either plot or beskar armor.
Also felt Grogu was really shoehorned into this episode.

Just... Big letdown for me this episode.

Seemed a little cobbled together. At least we know what choice was made and I think this one can lead to a much better story.

My boys and I loved the episode.

My 10yo LOVES the rancor, so he was happy to see Bobba riding it for the climax of the episode. I really have no complaints, other than I also wish they didn't kill off Bane so quickly. I thought he was a good villain and would've been easy to have the same scene, but have him hobble off injured or something.

I knew Grogu would be a major part of the battle. Again could've been better somehow, but my kids loved it and I thought it was good.

I am surprised the huts didn't make it into that episode.

Now to wait for the Mandalorian season to start.

My 10yo was hoping they could work Darth Vader into it somehow. It would have to be a clone since Vader is dead.

I've read in comments to YT vids about the episode that
there's beeping when they do the pan over of Bane's body that signifies it's signaling his droid ship to come collect him, so he's not dead

Since I know nothing about Bane, I didn't even think about it.

I enjoyed it for what it was, Cad Bane death was supposed to happen in clone wars final season anyways in almost the same way. Riding a rancor was cool, my kid and I enjoyed that. Setting up for season 3 mandalorian, totally. Cyber Vespa gang should have all died, they were imo the worst thing in the show, I would have kept the gamorrean guards over them any day (any old ufc fans? One of the guards was Frank Trigg who if I remover correctly lost back to fights with both Matt Huges and George St Pierre by standing rear naked chokes).

So, Cad Bane, My son says he got his start in clone wars. Was he a bounty hunter sent out with boba fett in the early trilogy??

Didn't exist in the original trilogy. Maybe somewhere in the expanded universe books pre-Disney, but I'm not sure about that.

Add me in to the list of people extremely disappointed in Cad Bane’s death. He was such a prominent character in Clone Wars, and even made an appearance in Bad Batch. He always finds a way to survive another day, and he’s the bad guy you just can’t help but love. So they bring him on screen in live action and I absolutely lost my mind, then kill him off next episode? Big L Disney, big L.

The Rancor was cool though. One of the coolest aspects of the show I think. Everything else was a dumpster fire. Like why are Boba and Mando fighting in the middle of the street when they’re trained to fight with jet packs. High ground anybody?? Help them Obi-Wan Kenobi, you’re their only hope.

Also killing the hot Twilek in the casino/cantina, big F in the chat. Oh well, my erection was nice while it lasted.

I'm pretty sure that the light blinking on his chest plus the beeping sound as the camera drifted away from his body meant he was still alive.

Yes that was awesome.
