Anyone ever used one. I ordered one for my LS swap build because of the angle of the shifter assembly. When I was looking I found two main companies that sell them: B&M and Hurst. These are about $300+. Idid find a cheaper company, Allstate Gear, that sold one for $140. Doesn't have the look of the other companies but is still a short throw.
Can some of you that have had one installed, share your experiences and thoughts?

I have the B&M on my ‘06 LJ. It’s a much shorter throw which I really like, but it’s also very notchy and takes a bit more force to move from gear to gear than I care for.

Is it really tight? Meaning I have a lot of play in my old one and i have read a few places that it fixes that.

I have a Hurst on my AX5 for 5 years now and still loving it, the throw reduction was fantastic.

it’s not crazy tight, but it’s enough to be noticeable and slightly annoying. The reduction in throw is fantastic though.

I’m running the B&M on my ax-15. It’s nice compared to the original for sure. But don’t expect it to be sports car style short shifting. It firms it up shortens the throw and does not vibrate anymore though.

I was looking into the B&M but at $550 I think I will just clearance the area it is contacting
Damn. I wouldn’t have bought it at that price. I think I payed less than $200 shipped. It’s been on there for at Six least six or seven years.

It solves a lot of the issues for the nsg370

I know, right!
It'd be nice to have but I can think of other pressing needs for that kind of money.

I have the B&M short shifter in my '04. One of the best mods I've done and makes the driving experience way better than before. It is a shorter throw, a clean and crisp shift points. No binding, no forcing into any gear.

Ps, I got the shift knobs off ebay.

Great to hear. Now I feel confident that I made the right choice.

Here is my B&M shifter with custom shift knob with an expanded .45 auto federal hst inside it. Along with the shifters for the Atlas 4 speed.
