The NV3550 technically can accept slightly more torque. That said, the AX-15 has available parts, while the rebuild kits for the NV3550 are all crap because the manufacturer is out of business. If your Diesel engine produces much more than 300 ft/lbs, then I would consider a different transmission altogether.
