I'm removing ACOS from the front and spring relocation brackets from the rear to get a couple inches off this lift and get it down to 4.5".

Are front and rear OEM bump stops the same?
Do you recommend something other than OEM bumps - poly, cut to length, etc?

Same question for spring isolators?

Hopefully between Rock Auto and MoparPartsGiant I can get all I need.

The factory cups and jounces are the same front and rear.

I use Currie/RockJock bump stops on mine.

Yes, the front and rear factory bump stops are the same. Same metal cups, same foam jounce bumpers.

The spring isolators are not the same front to rear. My '98 came with a heavy rubber isolator on top of the front spring and a thin plastic disc under the rear spring.

This is a matter of personal preference/ individual need. I'm using poly bumps that fit into the factory steel cups. They can be cut down in length if needed and they work ok.

I have to look closely at the rear. The OEM brackets appear to be intact but I haven't noticed the cups. I have 2 for the front but probably need two more.

I use hockey pucks and save money for other goodies. Drill and taper them, then get some cheap bolts. This has worked for ten years, with no issues.

I have a full box of hockey pucks and had planned to drill them. Hadn't heard about the 'taper'. Please enlighten me. These mount on the bottom of the spring perch, correct? And is this to meet with an OEM bump stop on the top?

Sure would like to have all the parts before I tear it apart.

Yes, that looks correct.

I don't recall anything on top of the rear spring but it's been a long time since I removed the stock springs. Maybe post a pic of what you have?

The rear isolators on mine were on top. I think earlier years might have had something on the bottom.

I drill a hole and then use a countersink bit, so the tapered bolt head can be flush with the top of the puck.

The rear springs use a wide rubber pad on top and a thin plastic base on the bottom. Crown 52087832 replacement upper rubber pads, and the lower plastic can be substituted with Whiteline W73416 10mm thick polyurethane pad and M.O.R.E. rear spring retainer plates 98700-6.

The OEM rear does NOT have a lower plastic 10mm spacer that everyone is talking about, at least not on an 03, 04, or 05. I can’t speak to other years.

I believe the plastic on the lower perch was eliminated somewhere between 00 and 02. The one on my 99 was definitely not 10mm though, it was more like 1.5mm. More of a cover than a spacer, just to avoid direct metal to metal contact between the spring and the lower perch.

My 02 has something on the bottom but I have swapped in Dana 44 and I’m not sure what year it’s from and can’t remember if I swapped that bottom part from mine when I made the switch.

The early TJ had the lower plastic pad and they become brittle with age and are stupid money for a plastic disc. The 10mm poly spacer is the closest replacement pad I could find that is wide enough to support the whole spring during compression. I added the spring retainer as insurance to prevent the spring from popping off the lower perch while drooped.

Just a heads up, I ordered from MORE a couple weeks ago and took about a week to actually ship my order.

definitely a consequence. I doubt they had enough time to figure that out so they probably remove it for cost reasons.
