Ball Joint Fit

So I bought this ball joint kit:

And the upper ball joint doesn’t look right. Am I doing something wrong or is this the incorrect part? The lower looks good and sits flush.

See that flange on top? As long as that is tight against the C you should be good.

To elaborate..the boot will expand with grease and the ball joint is designed as a floating pin. Nothing to worry about

Fyi if you need balljoints again get spicer balljoints.they are original equipment and last the longest

With as much rust as you've got on that knuckle...a light coat of antisieze on the hub will make separation and maintenance later on easier.
