Does this indicate a bent pass side axle housing ? Gap on back side and none on the front ? Or am I just paranoid ?

New Jeep LJ to me. PO put the HP Dana 30 in with 4.56 open gears. Have not driven much at all; so tire wear or bad shimmy don't know yet.
Guess better to drive some and see if any indicators ?? Guess the only way to tell for sure is take it all apart and sight down or use a big rod

Just was concerned when I saw that gap, maybe all are welded like that, may not be a precision fit from the factory ? Or not ?

They are a precision fit but if gaps were large enough to be a concern, I've never seen one that wasn't leaking oil out the end of the casting or around plug welds.
You can use a straight edge, such as a 4 foot level, to check the tube. Have someone hold it against the differential and check that the measurement from the straight edge to the tube is the same along it's full length.
