I'm going to replace my front shocks since it looks like an easy job. Any recommendations? The Jeep is stock no lift.

Also, this Jeep is mainly for on road use. I do some mild off roading, but not often. This is mostly for the killer PA potholes lol
I just put Rancho 5000x on my nearly stock TJ and really like them so far. They have great reviews here for that type of useage. I would replace all 4.
X2 to the Rancho RS5000x. I'd replace all four at once, not just the fronts. The rears are easy too, you don't need to jack the Jeep up to replace them. Just give the rear shock's upper bolts 3-4 days of spraying them with Liquid Wrench, Kroil, or Break-Free. Don't waste your $$$ or time spraying the bolts with PB-Blaster or WD-40, neither of which are effective at loosening hardware that might be seized from corrosion from salt on the roads.
Ha yeah but I was just saying it's easy to get to them, not that they're necessarily always easy to get out. That he lives in PA is why I suggested several days of spraying of a penetrant.I see you've never lived up north.
The Rancho 5000X is popular in this forum, and is a good bang for your buck. There are also a few threads on here that compare the Black Max shocks and put them in basically the same category of ride quality and budget, so you could consider those too. But I’d just go find those threads; there is a lot there not worth repeating here.
