Hi,
Blower motor wiring harness connector(s) were melted. Replaced the complete blower motor control module with new spliced wiring, resistor pack and blower motor. Everything works fine except for the 3rd position. Lowest position, next position up and high work as normal. Any ideas or suggestions?

Thank you!

Have you checked the fan speed switch? If the blower motor harness was melted, odds are good that the switch is also is melted.

I am searching for same problem on my 2004. This is a 4 speed switch. Everything works fine except medium high speed does not blow. Switch connector is 5 wires, I find 12 volt power on the switch connector on all wires except the dark green wire. 5 wires but only 4 speeds?

Thanks - After posting here I found YouTube with medium low not working and replacement worked. Amazon should be here tomorrow, only $13. I guess the Dark Green wire is what supplies the correct voltage to the blower - should have ohmed the switch on all 4 speeds to the Dark Green.

I recently did mine, unless you have very small hands, and don't mind being upside down at neck breaking angles for about a 1/2 hour it's a pita to get out, easier back in. I hate the electrical clips with tabs, they always seem to brake, there is a big green one and a smaller black one. The job itself isn't bad, it's just the location, but it is 100% the resistor & will correct the fan speed issues if only some speeds work ( usually 1 or 2 or both ) & others don't.
OEM on ebay was $25 shipped. For others that haven't found one yet or need to do this these pics should help.
