I have a Boosted Tech Supercharger off my 2005 LJR sitting around that I would like to get rid of. It was installed on my Jeep in 2018 and has about 15,000 miles on it. I was going to give it to my buddy for his XJ, but sounds like he is selling it.

What I have:
Things to note:
  • I do not have any licenses for the HP tuners. I can provide contact information of the person who has them, but I cannot guarantee a response.
  • I believe the bearings on the drive belt are worn. I have attached a photo below. I have a few new spare bearings here but I'm unsure exactly what they are. I'm happy to look closer for a serious buyer.
  • I do not have a good way to ship this. I very much prefer local pickup in downtown Chicago.
  • Price is $1750 OBO. I believe all the things I have would retail for just over $5000 new.

In this photo, you can see grease splatter on the hood. I believe this is coming from the belt bearings on the supercharger, but I never got a chance to inspect closely.

Any idea what model years this would work on? I assume it needs to be 2000+ (Distributor less) but I also know there was a change to the ECM around 2005.

05-06 only for the Split Second piggy back controller to work.

Moving apartments in a couple months and don't want to bring this with me. Has just been taking up space and I will not be using it in the future.

Price dropped to $1750.

I definitely want more power, but timing is unfortunately off for me (I need hydro). Let me know how bad you don't want to move with it when the time comes to move.

I’m happy to deal to get rid of it. It will most likely end up in the dumpster at the end of June if nobody wants it.

Am hoping to get the LJ in decent shape for a trip out west sometime in September. Could drop off somewhere between Chicago and Colorado if that works out. Will see if I can fix all the sins of the previous owner by then to make that happen…

Definitely don't dump it, worst case I can probably find a buddy in or near Chicago to grab it from you and try to make it work if no one with cash in hand jumps in first. That at least makes the logistics problem mine instead of yours.

If you toss me an offer on it by the end of June I’ll be happy to figure something out. Would be great to see it on a forum members jeep instead of the dumpster.

Honestly a very good unit. Just not for me personally.

add me in the line before the dumpster, I don't have 2K to burn with classes - but I can deff work out some logistics and a few hundred.

Working with a buddy in Chicago to see if we can get something together.
