Brake recommendations for my 06 4.0 TJ

Hello, I’m curious what brake kits have you guys installed and have had no issues with? I wanted to get the Z36 powerstop brake kit w/calipers front and rear, but I’ve seen mixed reviews on them. Are they a good reputable brand or should I look elsewhere?

I have NRS on mine and will not hesitate to use them again on any of my classic cars.

BMB. I can lock up my 35s with just his pads and rotors. I've driven a jeep with his big break kit and it too performs really well.

rear Dana 35 w/ e-locker

Might also double check what axles you have ??

BMB. I can lock up my 35s with just his pads and rotors. I've driven a jeep with his big break kit and it too performs really well.

I started with the pads and went to the BBK. While the pads were workable with proper break-ins, the control with the BBK is noticeably improved and was the first thing I changed after that first Moab trip. Rears have been whatever came on it 30k miles ago.

BMB. Can't say enough good about them. Blaine is great to work with and very knowledgeable. The brakes work phenomenal, and have the ability to lock up my 40" tires on my non-abs TJ on dry asphalt.

thanks for the replies! guess BMB is the way to go haha. Probably just do the pads, rotors, and parking brake shoes and see how they hold up. Currently rebuilding my suspension/stretching the rear so might be awhile before i can get and test them.

Black Magic Brake pads many years ago. Then the Vanco 16" big brakes also with Black Magic Brake pads.
