Man I wish we had trails like that here. I want to take my Jeep to my in laws up in the mountains of east TN. My wife complains about the money for fuel (9 hours one way)

I guess maybe you're just asking whether they have some "desire"? Or possibly "ability".?
If you desire to build your own Jeep, I think just about anyone can make these changes. It will sure save you a lot of "coin". You just have to be willing to spill a little blood and a few curse words! But I'm a case in point. Never worked on a car in my life till I got the Jeep. In the last year and 5 months I'm the only one who's ever done anything to it, except Discount Tire. MML, BL, SL, Shocks a few times, gas filler hose extension, bumpers, winch, stereo, speakers, amp, transfer case shifter, oil change, transmission fluid change, are a few things I've done. You just have to want to do it and want to learn and be patient enough to give yourself the time and dedication. The forum has been great for help all along the way. I couldn't have done it without YOU GUYS!

My point was just that a person should be aware that if they're not willing and able to DIY they will need to spend more than the price of the parts they see online.
