Bump stop questions

Ok, I'm lining up what I'll need when doing my lift.
My bump stops are shot and the cups are pretty rough. So I be plan to replace them front and back when the springs are out.

I saw daystar bolt in bump stops, am I correct they are what they say?
Do they bolt in, in place of the cup and pressed in stop, or do they still need the cups?

I'm guessing what you are referring to as the bump stops are the jounce bumpers. They are foam and do degrade over time but are easily replaced. The bump stops you have listed are garbage. Just get some aluminum or poly bump stops and install them on the lower spring perch in the front and underneath the upper jounce bumper cup on the rear. Make sure you cycle your suspension and get the appropriate sized bump stops.

Thanks, yeah the Jounce bumpers are really deteriorated and the cups are in rough shape.

I thought they may be a easier replacement since they are extended also when I do the springs.

I guess the best bet is replace the 4 cups and put extended jounce bumpers in.

Those things are complete garbage. That’s also not the proper way to extend the bump stops. You add bump stop from the lower spring perch.

Whoever came up with this idiotic design needs to lose their job

No, you just want regular jounce’s, not extended. Follow post #2. That is the proper way to do it.

The stock deals are great. Even though the cups look like crap they are probably fine. Do the stock thing in my opinion.

Stock with extensions might be best for most.
