My solution? Grab my safety wire and pull the strap to the side, clearing the way for the seat rail to slide freely. Getting CalTrend to simply move the strap 1/2 half inch to the side would be even better. I'll be making that suggestion to them presently. Yeah, I know, that's a pretty sloppy safety wire job. The FAA would never approve.

Came out pretty good. I’m gonna let the sit a few days and get stretched and then pull seats out again and retighten the straps. Won’t be driving it until new soft top and flat fender flares come in. View attachment 179658
I just received and installed these CalTrend “Sports Tex” seat covers yesterday. The quality of the fabric and the fit could not be any better as they look like upholstery not covers.
They are available in a wide variety of fabrics. I chose the “Sports Tex” after seeing the photos that @overthehill posted a while back.
CARiD.com has the complete set on sale for $150 ($75 per row).
They are made to order and shipped directly from CalTrend. I even received a call from a rep to confirm the specifics of my order before they sewed them up.

Thanks! Is that Bedrug in your floors?
Yes it is the BedRug.
How does the BedRug hold up? I was going to sparky on line or something but that stuff looks pretty cool.Yes it is the BedRug.

View attachment 180829Thanks to the OP I am getting covers. What color Sportex would you pick?? Curious what yalls suggestions are.
Black. Thinking black/charcoal but maybee black and beige. Jeep sure didn't try and match it with those stock seatsWhat color is your interior?
That’s awesome, I’ve been checking out their website since seeing your post earlier. Not too bad on the price either so may have to try it out. Thanks! It’s very durable. Along with the jeep, I have it in the bed of my daily driver Silverado as well. Looks the same as it did when installed five years ago. Also had one in my previous truck for nine years.
Also, how have the sport tex seat covers held up? Just got my Jeep and it will probably sit outside with the top off most of the time, so need something waterproof and resistant to fading if possible.Yes, solid black Sports Tex.
