Can I use a grinder to cut off my track bar?

It shouldn’t take too much effort to shear the remaining pieces of cotter pin, unless you are battling severe rust too.
Well the cotter pin is sticking out on both ends a little bit but not enough to where I can put or push it through and I can’t really get the socket on it correctly

Can you get a punch in there and fold the cotter pin up and out of the way of the socket?

Keep in mind that cotter pins are soft. All they do is keep a loose nut from spinning.

I might be able to get a punch in there but I had to take the driver Side wheel off to get access to all of this stuff.

Just put a socket or box wrench and turn off the nut. It will shear off the cutter pin easily. I have done this dozens of times on various steering joints. Last time was replacing my trackbar too.
