Damn, Leno looks tired. With all the stuff that's going on in his life, it makes me wonder how much longer he'll continue to do his shows.
Personally, though, I wish Tim Allen was at that same level of automotive recognition and notoriety. He's a car guy, too, and he's funny!![]()
I like Tim too, another of the few I'd like to talk with. I watched a video a few years ago and noticed he had good taste in cars.

It took me a while to appreciate him as a car guy. A great number of years ago, I saw an interview with him where he showed absolutely no appreciation for (or even understanding of) cars that were anything other than 100% stock. His comments on the guys who built customs and such were pretty disparaging. Add to that the feeling that I never found him particularly funny as a comedian, and I was like "Meh...Jay Leno". Nowadays, while I still don't find him funny, I have more appreciation for his involvement with the car community. "Stangbangers"I always wonder about the sites you visit. That one don't sound safe.

Love the Tbird front clip and the hidden rollcage, but just can't get past those wheels. I wonder if he still has that car?
During the track review, with Steve Saleen behind the wheel, the Saleen RRR lost traction all the way through third gear. Even though Tim Allen later had the boost turned down and gearing changed to be less aggressive, he put very few miles on the car. The 1993 Saleen was eventually sold several years later, whereupon delivery, the second owner noticed there were only 327 miles on the clock.
When finished, Casper wasn’t a friendly ghost, but a tire shredding monster that was more race car than anything else. Tim would go on record saying the car was too “wiry,” and that the car felt more in its element at higher speeds than cruising around town. During a Road & Track review, the Saleen RRR reached 60 mph in just 4.9 seconds, and would complete the quarter-mile in 12.4 seconds; to put things in perspective, a 2010 Audi R8 V10 Spyder completed the quarter-mile in 12.2 seconds. Casper was quick, even by modern-day supercar standards.
