CB mic mount (my version for wx75)

I couldn't find anything that I really liked, so I came up with this no-drill solution. It's a generic stick-on mic holder, stuck to a metal plate (like you would attach to your phone) and on to the magnetic vent mount. I used the large metal plate that was provided with the mount but I had to use 3m adhesive. The thin stuff on the metal plate didn't work because the plastic mic holder is not perfectly flat in back and I didn't trust the adhesive that came on the mic holder.

I've used mounts like that, but not in a jeep. Hopefully yours works as well for you as mine did for me.

Eventually I tired of the way mine interfered with adjustment of the air conditioning vent on that particular vehicle, got over drilling small holes in the dash, and replaced it with the simple screw-in microphone clip shown below. However, looking at the way your mount is oriented you should not have that issue with your jeep.

Dang, if I'd seen that earlier, I might have been tempted to use them. The one hole on the top and bottom is nice. I've only seen the two across the bottom (and some with one on the top too) that were too wide.

Where did you find those?
