Changing differential oil

After Installing and breaking in for 500 miles a new ring and pinion, do you change out your Differential oil?
Yukon gear and axle recommends to do that.
just wondering if it’s a good thing to do.?
 
Absolutely good thing to do. You'll get the lapped shavings out of there. I recommend spending $30-40 bucks and getting lube locker gaskets for the fresh fluid. You wont have to wait for any RTV dry time.
