Honest question and not trying to stir the pot, did Currie/rock jock farm the Antirock out to the Chinese to build for them? If not then someone bought one and sent it to them so they would copy it for them. Think Yeti, they farmed their tumblers out to China to build and what happened China copies them and sells them to whoever!!!!
Probably "Yes" but not necessarily! A company is about making profit in the end game. I am not American and I preferer to buy American made but when you are faced with Chinese components in "American made" then you sort of give up!
You Guys are quite privileged that you have dedicated USA fabricators but in the end many sell out to profit margins!
Just take a look at "Besttop" lately! do you people truly believe a Best top soft top is manufactured fully from start to finish in USA? If so why have they become so mediocre with quality control?
Being outside USA I order parts from USA and they arrive to me at a USA shipping premium but they are made in China? lol

Not to start a pissing match with everyone, but These sway bars have been around for years. They use them in dirt track cars, street rods, etc.
The torsion bars are available in various diameters and lengths. The arms and links are available in different lengths.
I could go to the speed shop that I used to work for, and source all the components to build my own.

Perhaps it's the fact that this one is labeled "Antirock Sway Bar" instead of something generic like "offroad sway bar" or "torsion style sway bar." I'm surprised they didn't take it a step further and call it "Rock Jacques" or something like that?

Last I knew, no they had not. The torsion bar was made, splined, and heat treated by Foote Axle and Forge in south LA before the company was sold. The arms were welded and splined in house after being laser cut locally. The rod ends are Alinabal and I don't know their manufacturing practices.
4 Wheel Part's parent company caused Currie to get out of the armor and bumper business. They shipped over one of the Currie rear swing out bumpers that was made about 10 miles from where I live to have it copied and sold as a Smittybilt product for 1/2 price. Looked the same from a distance, was not the same at all.
John was over the armor business after that.
Can you please post a link to the TJ D crossmember bushings for the front?
I know of a few folk who have stuff made to take advantage of the far cheaper labor over there. To slow down the bullshit, they don't have one company do the whole assembly. They have several companies just make individual parts without ever sending over the whole drawing and assembly in an attempt to hopefully not make the connection.
I don't despise what the Chinese do, I fully despise the demand the American consumer has for cheaper but "identical". We now have a culture where you go buy a lawnmower and when it wears out or dies in a year, you go buy another. Before, your grandparents bought one and passed it along when they died and it still worked like it did when it was new.
I only violate my anti policy on a few things. I'd rather see someone run any winch if they insist on wheeling alone rather than do without because a good winch is too expensive.
That's what I was thinking, not that I know Currie, because they have been in this for so long!!!!! I bet someone purchased the Antirock and sent it to China to have copied. Seen it many times before!!!
If someone did that, I think it would be on a website somewhere rather than popping up on Amazon and eBay now and then. Trans had no qualms whatsoever over putting the bumper copy on their website.
