Aluminum body panels are like a mackerel in the moonlight. They're shiny, and they stink.
From the article:
"The plaintiffs correctly present this extended warranty coverage as a “sham” because “it is widely known that aluminum body panels do not perforate from corrosion. Accordingly, the extended warranty coverage provided by FCA was - in and of itself - misleading, deceptive and - at best - illusory.”
I'm calling BS on that. I doubt that I'm the only person to ever see through a piece of aluminum that had been corroded through.

Eh. These always result in a lawfirm making millions and most of the participants getting a case of redbull.
I had a 2016 Mustang and there was a common problem with the paint on the aluminum hood bubbling at the tip from corrosion. 2015 when the S550 was imtroduced warranty would not cover it. People made a big enough stink and warranty was extended in 2016 to 5 years and I was able to get mine fixed under warranty.
My wifes 2017 Grand Cherokee has this problem. The paint started bubbling on the hood 6 months after purchasing it.
The dealer replaced the hood under warranty. Less than a year later same thing, this time they repainted the hood twice because their bodyshop sucked.6-8 months later same shit, but now its out of warranty so I'm beat.

Years ago I had a 2000 Ford Ranger 4x4 that came with an aluminum hood that had bubbling paint. The repaint was performed under warranty and as far as I know the new owner did not have any more problems.
The 2014 GC Limited that my wife drives has never had a paint problem....
Good luck with that one. I think there was an attempt a number of years ago, but it was unsuccessful.Anyone want to join me in a TJ frame rust suit?
