any one have any success cleaning soft top plastic windows? Mine are embedded with something and I can't see through them.

For cleaning them, just make sure any chemicals/cleaners are designed for use on vinyl. Glass window cleaners are not.
Always use a soft cloth. Mild soapy water works great. A little bit of liquid dish soap is fine.
Things like pledge or novus, or any number of things like that are NOT cleaners. They may be useful, but they don't clean. They either polish, or just fill in the little scratches. They should be used in addition to cleaning, and like anything you sand or grind, you shouldn't polish anything as often as you clean it.
Your windows however may be past the point of just cleaning (in other words, it may be the case that even if you clean them, they simply need to be polished to make them less hazy).
If that's the case, I highly recommend the the Novus 3 step process. If you use it properly, it can transform your windows from hazy to almost new again!

Might have to try this out as my soft top windows don't exist anymore lol. Chris have you had any experience with this product or just word of mouth? If it gets the haze out I won't need to buy new ones.
I haven't used it personally since I only have a hard top. However, I've been reading for long enough to know that it's probably the most recommended product out there for polishing out the haze on all soft top windows (not just on Jeeps). If you use it with an orbital buffer and do it right, it will make the windows look almost like new.
I know that I've seen @Ron505 mention using it before, but there's many others as well who can vouch for it.

Worked pretty well considering mine had some pretty good scratches. It didn't take out the worst ones but it did lessen them quite a bit. Minor ones came out completely. If yours are really beat up there probably isn't a whole lot you can do to bring them back to life. But for 20 bucks it's certainly worth a try. Pick up some cloth diapers to apply and polish. Nice and soft and won't scratch.

I've heard about Novus working well but never done it.....my passenger front window looked tinted (green mildew tint) lol when I first got it from the POV..I used soapy water for about 3 weekends and eventually used some Meguiar's polish to get rid of the grimey bits...its not perfect but much better than it was before.(Eventually I will have to bite the bullet and get a new one though)
I bought the kit and tried it. My windows are not clouded, they are scratched. Improvement was minimal if any for me. I also tried McGuire' s with no success.
I have dealt with vinyl windows on boats for years. In my experience, once they are scratched or hazy, they are gone and need replaced.

This is what I'm dealing with. Embedded mildew. I bought the jeep used and it started getting worse as I rolled the rear window up in the morning and the side window just got worse over time. Think it's salvageable?
