Confusion about the lift

Today I finally found time to put on H&R springs and Rancho RS5000x. Here is measurements before installation.
Front and rear respectively.

When I pulled front springs off and set them side by side with new H&Rs, to my surprise they where the same length!, just over 17”. where also the same length new and old. About 12”. Decided to keep going. After install and a drive around the block, I remeasured and looks like I gained about an inch. I remember reading somewhere that stock fronts are 12” and rear 8”. It’s confusing! WTF is going on?!

I didn’t measured them installed, but off the truck they are the same length.

Obviously the new ones are a higher spring rate, that's all. Are you happy with it?

Don’t know yet. Gonna jump in the shower, and then take boxes with old crap to the dump. I guess I’ll know soon.

I didn’t measured them installed, but off the truck they are the same length.

That doesn’t necessarily mean anything. Measuring them with weight on them is what matters.
