Console bumpers (again)

The Jeep parts fisch shows p/n 55037225 is for both the console lid bumper and the glove box door bumper.

Can someone verify that the console lid and glove box door uses the same bumper?

I do not have either of the bumpers on my 99 console lid.

I have both of the glove box door bumpers, they are pretty soft and I don't think they would be the same bumper on the console lid.

This sounds like a Home Depot or ACE hardware problem.

The Dorman 961-375D is $6.99 + tax for an assorted package of rubber bumpers at Advance or Autozone. I need two packages to get the two bumpers I need.

Doesn't $14,96 seem a little bit steep for two pieces of rubber the size of your thumb nail?

Thanks for the tip on the door bumpers, I will take a look at those.

I have a list of 13 items I want to get at the Pull-A-Part, if the weather cooperates, I am going this weekend. All nickel-dime stuff that my TJ is missing or needs replacing.

For $14.96 (13.98 unless you added in the tax already) you are getting a double quantity of assorted rubber bumpers. But, you only NEED 2 of them.

Unfortunately, that's what gives them a nice profit margin.

I don’t recall how much the Everbilt bumpers are, but you get 12 in a package and they work pretty well.

Here they are installed:
Bottom one is new.

You’ll have to extend the upper stops with a spacer or something to keep the lid from flopping around.

I’ll eventually upgrade the screws used on the lid to a flat-head version to prevent them from denting and deforming the bumpers.
I’ve still got a few left, so I’m not in a rush.
