I agree this looks good.
I also think that black on black on black with black wheels, etc., etc.; does not look good.

I think the white top on a black jeep looks good, definitely different from most other black jeeps.
I have the tan top on my white jeep. I liked it because it was different than most white jeeps I see, non Sahara's, with the black tops.

... unlike mine. I got a grey hardtop with my silver LJ and I wasn't crazy about it. It looked terrible with the black uppers for my half doors. I eventually painted the hardtop black and later painted the LJ grey I considered going all silver. I kind of like the "non-contrasting" look. This one is not mine ...
Is that blue painter's tape on the rocker guards or are they just ugly?
I'm guessing paint because the hoop on the bumper is the same. Either way ... UGLY!
I think it depends on what you use it for. My 04' LJ is my daily year round vehicle (great in the snow) and one of my Jeeps that I camp with. It has a 2" lift with 265s (31.6") tires. 35s on it would look out of character for how I use it. Also, at my age (71) I only have so much energy. Getting in and out of it if it was any higher would be a bit of a chore.

I wouldn't mind if my LJ was silver (but not with a grey top). That said, and I think I've posted before, I like you current color combo, that gray (with a little blue/green in it?) with black is pretty sharp, even better with the matching trailer.
Just my personal opinion, but royal blue looks good on very few things. It ranks up there with pink on the scale of colors I heavily dislike.
I agree. I honestly don't think mine looks that bad (surely not caca) at stock height with 31's, but to each their own. Mine's a DD and I don't crawl rocks with it (though a little off road isn't an issue), and a 6'5" tall, it's the perfect height for mount/dismount.
Jury's still out on the hardtop color as well as the rubi flare color. Trying to like the gray top color...

Either way ... it's Rustoleum enamel straight out of the can! I took what they had and I'm happy.
Mine's a DD too and same here ... no crawling only trails. And at 5'8" and shrinking a 2" lift is plenty. As is, I carry a stool just for the roof rack (not shown in the pics above).

My TJ came with a dark khaki hard top. I have bulldawg half door uppers in black, so I painted my hard top black to match too.

Thanks. It was a back yard job so it took a little longer than I would have liked. I had to wait for nice days!

Not at the moment as I keep at my cabin but I will be up there over the weekend so I will see what I can find out. Another picture whenI brought it home a few years ago
