Cracked motor mount

Saw this today as I was doing a general look around inspection.

Drivers side motor mount has a couple of cracks in the rubber. 97 with 167k automatic

Is this normal and can I let ride for another 10k miles or so
Or should I replace now and get it over with?

That’s not bad. Replace it when you get time.

You’ll be fine for a while. I would just replace it when the time and money permit. They aren’t hard to replace.

Since you got the camera in there to take that pic, it shouldn't be hard to get a MIG welder wand up in there to weld that crack closed.

Ha mea culpa I looked at his mount wrong. I welded my broken Currie motor mount years ago and just transformed that onto the OP's mount. :banana:

Maybe he's pullin my leg, because you can't weld rubber, no? or am I missing something, seein as how im.still a NooB?

Make sure to avoid mounts with polyurethane bushings or you'll end up with a lot of vibrations in the cab. Stick with rubber bushings.
