Curious question about my distributor rotor

The other day my jeep lost power on the freeway then died and wouldn't restart.
In the course of troubleshooting, found my rotor in this state.

I did a tune up about 3 weeks ago and the jeep has been running fine up until this point. I'm thinking I must have bumped it out of place putting on the distributor cap or something. But does anyone know of another reason this would have happened?

I replaced the rotor and the jeep is running great.

Looks maybe like it got hot. Any plugs with antiseize on the plug electrodes or maybe something else wrong with a plug causing it to draw too much current through the rotor?

Definitely no antisieze on the electrodes.
Another question for you Jerry. What brand distributor cap and rotor do you like?

I don't recall brand names for caps and rotors I used to use but I always held our for the better quality ones with longer lasting brass contacts. Those with aluminum contacts are cheap and don't last as long.
