Does anyone know the stock Dana 44 carrier dimensions. Specifically, the internal dimensions for where the spider gears normally live. I’ve purchase a Yukon brand carrier and the carrier isn’t wide enough for the powertrax no slip locker to slide into. It s Yukon case part # 20028. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Are you sure you are running a 44?

I’m measuring 2.630” on the inside Yukon case and the powertrax without any spider gear thrust washers is 2.700” with the included .135” gap needed for the locker.

Well by the PNs you should be good so have you tried to put the No Slip in the case? It does not use side gear washers so do not try to use any.

Yes I did attempt to install the locker without side gears. It’s not fitting inside the carrier.

Well it sounds like it is time to call Yukon.

Yep, gonna give'em a ring. Have to call them again on Monday. I remember reading on here where mrblaine had mentioned before having issues with Yukon's parts not being consistent. I thought about that as soon as I realized the lunchbox locker was wider than the inside of the carrier. Thanks for looking into it with me anyway Blackjack.

Just wanted to let everyone know in case someone searches this thread in the future. The message from Yukon is that the internal dimensions of between 2.628" to 2.632 is correct for dana 44 standard open carriers. It wound up being the powertrax no slip lockright unit I received had the incorrect parts boxed in the correct part # box. It sounded as if this was one of those things that occurs. Johnny at Powertrax asked me to tell him what part # box I received, then he wanted me to read him the part #'s of each individual part.

Well that is a bummer. Hopefully Powertrax gets you fixed up in short order.
