Dana 44 or Super 35?

The seller delivered it today. Needs a cleaning and some paint. He had cut the spring perches and did a crappy job so I will clean that up. Looks like it could use a pinion seal. All in due time. He is going to give me his 3.73 gears from his Dana 30 when he replaces it in the next few weeks. Is it a fairly simple process to take out the 3.07 and put in the 3.73s in the Dana 30? That way I can four-wheel while saving up some dough to getting her completely re-geared.
Thanks,
Lou

Its extremely difficult to set used gears. Best buy your own or have your shop provide gears if your not doing them yourself

Installing used gears is never a good idea, unless you're a gear installing GURU who isn't against spending the extra time required by used gears. Used gears have been work-hardened where they touch so you need to set them up so they mesh in those exact same locations which is not just hard, it's very tough and extra-time consuming even for a good gear guy.

Thanks guys I appreciate your advice. I will wait and do the whole magillah! IN the mean time if you see a guy on the corner with hat in hand saying will work for re-gear toss a shekel or two my way. :)
