Dash Cam Options?

I’m looking for a dash cam for my 03 TJ. Wanting one that will stay on when the vehicle is parked and turned off. And possibly either has a forward and reverse camera or a flip able camera so I can switch it to the front or the rear.

I've had success with the Street Guardian series of dash cams. They have a good variety of models which should have the features you're looking for.

I have the blackvue 650 in a couple vehicles. I’ve been satisfied. Has both the front and rear cameras and the app works well on the phone.

you’ll need an additional box to install it if you want it to run all the time but not drain the battery. I have the power magic pro for that.

I think they have a newer model out now with higher resolution. I’d probably get the higher one if I was in the market, helps for reading license plates.

I have to be honest, I don't do much with it besides let it do it's thing. I haven't checked the SD card in a long time.

I am going off roading tomorrow so I will try to remember to turn it off when we get done so I can save the video and share it on here.

All I can say right now is it does turn on and off like normal. LOL

One problem with that is the fact that the forum only allows very short clips to be uploaded. I have to cut down the length of my dash cam videos pretty small to be able to upload them. I guess I can try to do YouTube. I'll try that when I upload the videos from the dash cam Sunday or Monday.

That blackvue is no joke! I’m seriously considering it now (Jeep got rifled through last night in the parking lot)
