Hello my jeep was running just fine last night then at a idle it hesitated a couple of times then died. When I went to restart it it cranked a little bit then stopped now. No crank no start. Dash lights come on. I can bypass to the starter, get it to crank over but it will not start. Any ideas out there?

Spray something flammable down the throttle body while bypassing the starter.

These schematics from the FSM for your year TJ should assist you to troubleshoot the problem.
With an 06, the PCM is involved in starting it. IIRC, you have to turn the key to Start, while jumping the relay, not just have it On.
06 PCMs are a known failure item. Has it acted up before this? Glitching off while driving down the road, loss of gauges.
Also, the clutch safety switch is under recall. You could put the fuse in the off road slot to bypass it. I don't think it's your problem, but easy to do.
