Death wobble after alignment

steering bars are about 2 years old never had the issue before so I don’t think it’s that but still possible. Would one wheel out of balance really be enough to throw it into death wobble? I thought it was all about alignment.

It's not all about alignment, loose components can play a major factor as well as wheel balance (it could have even just tossed a balancing weight). I don't really know anything about your steering setup, but I don't think breaking away from the Y-link often makes sense. What steering system did you move to?

yet again not sure on that it was in the Jeep when I got it a few years back never caused an issue.

If you're up for it, I would move back to the ZJ upgrade. It's still the Y-link (that should be on yours) but beefed up from the TJ setup (hollow bars which are barely suitable for moderate usage). If you're confident in the steering, find a shop that can do a proper balance to double check.

For what it's worth, I got a few things on mine that never caused an issue until they did.

I could move back to the stock setup but to my knowledge the knuckles were drilled to fit this larger hardware so it would be a whole thing now.

That sounds like a whole new issue... Check your bolts, sounds like the torque may not be right for that setup (though that sounds like less than ideal setup from what I know).
