@scottychop Yessir. One time I was messing around and the sleeve for the braces fell off in the frame. I had a great time getting it back lined up
It looks to me like you have a dual rate spring installed upside down.Travel looks to be 3”. Stiff springs?View attachment 93204
Need to look at the distance between your hard stop on the axle and the cup on the frame too... That is your bump stop. That might be limiting your overall travel, due to interference of other hard parts.Travel looks to be 3”. Stiff springs?View attachment 93204
Not according to my zip ties...
I drove my normal work route, complete with speed bumps. Not sure anything is hitting...How hard did you try?
If the shocks are not stopping the travel, then what is? It isn't the bump stops, from what I can see.
Front or rear?I guy I work with put a bigger sway bar on his LJ. It is quite a bit thicker than stock. If it has an aftermarket swaybar, maybe that is limiting flex?
The factory rear is soft enough to allow for full articulation with 12" travel shocks. For mine with that setup, I wouldn't mind running a slightly stiffer rear and also tighten up the font Antirock.rear
Good question. It has minor steering issues. The larger problem is a harsh ride and old components. I’m evaluating what needs to be addressed first. I have been reading that a dropped pitman arm is to be avoided.
To each his own. Mine rides good. I'll leave mine with the tight coils on top! They are not upside down because there isn't a top or bottom on that spring.
