After a weekend wheeling trip, I got into some rocks really good and dented up my oil pan. Prior to that my oil pan was bone dry, it had never leaked. Days afterwards I noticed my rear main formed a leak and would leave 3”-4” puddles in my garage when parked. I let it leak for several months before deciding to replace the seal. Just before doing so I was talking to my father and he mention Hapco Pro Seal. After doing some research on it I figured what the heck why not try it. A 8oz bottle is $18 and is guaranteed to fix the leak or they’ll refund your money. My initial odometer reading upon putting the 8oz in was 65,308. My mileage now is 65,867. Since I put the Pro Seal in, my rear main has not leaked a drop. This might not sound impressive after 500 miles but when I could just start the Jeep and then cut it off and it’d form a puddle within hours. I think it has done the trick for me. I’ve got an oil change coming up so I’ll keep you all posted.
