Does the JKS front track bar have the upgraded bolt like Currie?

About to pull the trigger on either a JKS track bar or a curry. Throwing my rough country in the trash as I think it’s giving me issues. The curry is basically twice the price and I noticed that they let you drill out and supply a larger bolt hole. Does the JKS track bar give you a larger boat whole option as well or is it the standard size also how much of a difference does this larger diameter bolts make is it worth spending the extra almost $200 for the curry track bar to get the larger bolt or should I go with the JKS thank you

don't know the curry bolt but with jks the hole in the frame bracket must be drilled bigger than stock, so it is at least that big

Even if your axle mount is drilled, get the Currie with the smaller bolt. The bushing is better. The other one is not an upgrade.

It has as much clearance as you need for a normal build. And in the unusual event that you need more, it can be bent in a press to allow to axle to move forward into the track bar mount.

You might notice a difference. You might not. Where the Currie stuff matters is with the overall fit and fine tuning, which is greater than any single part if you take advantage of it.

So upgrade from JKS to Currie may not be the best?

Given a choice, I would pick Currie/RockJock over JKS because the fit is better and the Johnny Joints are real Jonny Joints. Plus the new front RockJock track bar now has Johnny Joints on both ends.

I'm in the same situation, I need to order adjustable track bars at some point, either JKS or Currie. I would assume Currie is better for wheeling and overall but not sure how much of a difference it makes for on road purposes.

Track bar clearance around the front diff cover. The bar sits forward on the JJ housing. Also, because of this, when pushing the axle forward, RockJock is going to be more conducive to reshaping with a press than other options.

You can bottom out the suspension on the street if you want to. Or even when you don't. You want stuff to fit and nest together well regardless of where the Jeep is being driven.

just a quick question since we're here talking about the front track bars. If i remember correctly, you had a MC track bar to begin with at one point, with a 5/8" bolt? I was looking at the currie and thought i read that it uses a 9/16" bolt. did you end up sleeving the frame side mount?

I could be way off an misremembering.

Any new RJ front track bar is going to use a 5/8 bolt on the axle side now that they are using a Johnny Joint there.

I recently bought the new JJ end and installed it on the older Currie track bar.
