Need help on an axle I have.
I was going to remove the double cardan joint from a bad axle (cardan is good) and install on a new axle.
My old axle has a centering ball mount from and the new axle doesn't...Is this not going to work?

A picture might help. I'm not aware of any TJ axle that uses Double Cardan joints.

Not mine but same thing...Front drive shaft

The ball socket is part on the drive shaft. I can remove the double cardon housing and use it but the center ball joint is not on the new drive shaft. Is the center ball socket required?
