Dumb lift question

So I'm looking at upgrading the shocks on my tj. I know it has a body lift on it, but I'm not sure if it has a suspension lift on it. We just got the jeep a few weeks ago and I feel stupid asking this. How can I figure out if it has a lift and how much it's lifted?

Measure the coil springs from top of spring to bottom. Stock springs measure 12" front/8"rear. Anything over that is your lift height. Some lifts include spacers up top, so include those.
