Yesterday we took the Jeep out for the first long ride since we’ve had it. Before then it had been relatively short 10 to 20 minute trips .
After driving around yesterday for about 1 1/2 hours I noticed something after trying to accelerate from a red light. The engine seemed to almost feel like it was stalling out... like it didn’t get power and then would finally engage and go. This happened 4 or 5 times until we made it home. The engine never stalled out but it definitely wasn’t accelerating the same. One time I slammed the gas pedal a little harder and it didnt happen. But with regular pedal pressure it’s seem to be doing the same thing.
I drove around a little today, a couple short trips and didn’t notice it happen again.
Any idea what this could be? Seems like it’s only happening when the Jeep has been running for a while.
Its an automatic transmission.
