Engine Just Stops

No idea, driving and my jeep just shuts off, no power, no steering, can start back up and drive. It happens while driving, while slowing down to turn. RPM drops to zero, and engine shuts off.

Taken in three times, mechanic can’t get it to happen to him, and there are zero errors on computer.

Any ideas? 97 Jeep Wrangler.

Check grounds and wiring.

You're going to need a odb reader and an app on your phone to watch live data.

My money is on a ground issue. Possibly a short.

Check vaccum lines to!

Live data logging will definitely help but the no power symptom( I take it to mean lights turn off/radio etc.), my money is also on a short.

Given it happens when you slow down, look at things that can move.

I would start with looking at the battery, does it have the battery straps still on?
Are wires coming off the positive battery terminals that touch metal when the jeep moves around?
Do you have an amp or any other accessory installed that has a positive wire that could be shorting to ground with a moment?

Does it start up after sitting a while.
