Probably a thread out there but I could not for the life of me find it!
My exhaust manifold was cracked but when I had went to install my new manifold I discovered what appears to me to be a broken bolt that was drilled out. The hole is bigger than 1/2in and it’s the furthest towards the fire wall (Not a bolt shared with the intake manifold).

Any suggestions to fix this?? I only have access to a crappy little stick welder and I do not feel confident in my ability to weld.
I’m also not sure of the correct depth for this hole if I were to drill it out to the next tap size above

Your best option would be a Helicoil repair, if I recall the head was tapped with a 3/8-16 thread for a stud. If you have a local NAPA they usually carry a selection.
