Exhaust question

I have been trying to do some research in here, but wanted to throw out a few questions for the gurus regarding exhaust systems. When I purchased my TJ last year the CEL was in for o2 sensors. The previous owner removed the cats at the engine, Jeep sounds fantastic, but I’m over the CEL. Not to mention with much more knowledge of my Jeep it’s definitely not doing it any favors. I currently am showing a p0172 and p0138. Definitely running rich but no other issues in idling etc.

I would assume I need new cats in the front as well as o2 sensors to resolve the issue? I’ve read it could me numerous things though. I’m open to a new exhaust if it doesn’t cost a fortune. Any wisdom or recommendations is welcome. I’ve learned a lot in 18 months but this is a new area for me. Not sure if it’s a self install or not? Thanks

Cats with o2 sensors appropriately placed as per factory should resolve the o2 sensor code. If you can find replacement OEM, all the better.

I have the o2 sensor right after where the pre cats should be. So “in theory” (scary words in the Jeep world) info buy a new pre cat to catalytic converter set up, with new sensors I would resolve the issue? Assuming it isn’t a leak elsewhere, which there could be anyway
