Since I got my Jeep the ignition has been quite temperamental, generally it needed a very slow turn of the key to make it start, if turned quickly you’d get no crank at all, however apart from that it had no issues starting at all. I got in this morning and it failed to start, however after about 10 min shuffling the key back and forth it fired straight into life with no issues, so I presume I just eventually found the sweet spot, and something has just given up in its internals. Where would people suggest I start, I’m just at a point of confusion in regards to what ignition switch, actuator pins are and what needs replaced, and then not sure if I need to do anything special with the skim/being able to keep my existing keys. Sorry this has probably been answered before/ has a simple answer but just not sure where to start.
