Do the 1 inch longer Rubicon fender flares over stock provide enough coverage on 12.5 inch tire not to spray mud and water all over the side of the jeep? I can't say I'm the biggest fan of the 6-7 inch fenders but I am less of a fan of stuff spraying all over my jeep and hitting my arm whenever I drive through a small puddle.

My backspacing is 3.75

No. They only add an inch. With a 3.75 bs wheel and a 10.50 I needed about 5.5" flare to the edge of the tire.

I have 3.6 BS with 33x12.5’s and stock flares. I don’t get sprayed with water when I go through a puddle, but maybe we dont’ have big enough puddles?! I don’t know, I would need around 6” of coverage to completely eliminate any splash. It just never bothered me. The Rubicon flares would help.

Thanks my measurement tells me I would need an extra 3 inches so roughly 6. I was just thinking maybe Rubicon fenders handle it better because most extended flares I see are on sports.

You'll still get side spray, especially with a 12.5" wide tire. Here is my 10.50" tire with Rubi flares.

Same backspacing as you.

A suspension lift will change the geometry so that the passenger's side wheels will stick out further than the driver's side wheels. Having an adjustable track bar will even it out.

Thought that was worth mentioning just in case you didn't already know. I didn't understand what was going on every time I tried measuring my tires and fenders for new flares and kept coming up with different results.

You'll still get side spray, especially with a 12.5" wide tire. Here is my 10.50" tire with Rubi flares.

Thanks for the help. I really like the look of the bushwacker 6 inch flat fenders but they are so pricey.

I hope I have them ... I'm at 35 now and currently re-gearing. My wallet can't handle bigger tires plus its already hard to get into. lol

35" is perfect for those flares, yep.

I know what you mean though. At 4.5" of lift with 33" tires, even mine is hard to get into!
