What do you mean, if? Rather than doubt my logic, please explain to me how you can hold a friction layer against a spinning cast iron disc with a high level of force and not produce dust?
To help you figure it out, you are aware that brake pads wear out, are you not? If you are aware, where does the pad material go when it wears?
You are also aware that rotors wear out, no? If so, where does the iron being worn away by the friction layer go? I promise you that there are not a bunch of little brake elves sitting on the calipers and collecting that dust in little dust pans that hop off and empty them every time you park the vehicle.
Apply some logic and then tell me how they advertise no or low dust pads.
