First time going to King of the Hammers this year

Hey Everyone, this year will be my first time going to King of the hammers. Plan is to camp for two nights. My question for anybody who may know is if I’m going to watch the events outside of Hammertown am I able to park in camp anywhere for free or do I need to buy a general admission ticket as well as a camping pass. Basically looking for any way that I can just drive there and camp near Chocolate thunder for example will I have to pay or is it free?

For everything you'll experience at KOH I suggest you pay the admission. 100.00 per person now and I believe tent camping is free.
Heard it cost him 750K
For permits to put on the event.
There are ways to access the lakebed to avoid paying but your going to need to figure that out yourself. If you like the sound of toyotas on the Rev limiter all night chocolate thunder is a perfect place to camp. I'd camp past hammer town out by backdoor.

Thanks for the info! this year they're charging $40 on top to camp so $140 for 1-2 nights seems high to me but i understand the costs of putting on an event. Was just seeing if its possible to park on the outskirts and drive over to different events. It's BLM land so I was thinking you could just go watch with the exception of entering Hammertown.

Once your on the lakebed past the gate on Boone Road it's an open area to camp and go where you want with the exception of Hammer Town. Forgot to mention that this year the live music will be a chocolate thunder at night. Another reason not to camp close by.
