First Wrangler (had to be a TJ)

Man that's a nice TJ. If you want your flares and hardtop nice and black search Flood Penetrol here. I used it and am mighty impressed how it did on a faded to grey hardtop.

This is super useful because the first thing I was planning to do was restore the faded fenders. The hardtop is actually fairly black still. I was looking into all the methods (blow torch, heat gun, back to black walmart/autozone products), but I haven’t seen the Penetrol method yet. Off to research!

It’s better to pay a little and get a nice one like yours than get a deal and get ate alive with fixes......I’ve seen it over and over -

A $9000 Jeep can end
up costing 15,000.00 and the 13,500 ends up being 14,250.00 once you service everything and buy wiper blades.

You will love it.

After plenty of researching and more patience than I thought I had, I finally snagged what seems to be a rock solid TJ, first Jeep ever and I’m pumped.

2006 sport 6speed. 57k miles, southern car. Unmodified. I can’t find even a speck of surface rust no matter how hard I look. Has a front tow bar by Blue Ox, so maybe was towed behind an RV in its past life (if anyone wants that tow bar I’ll be selling it, I’m in Northern Florida, let me know, I have no use for it). The AC is not fantastic so that needs a servicing, but that’s the only thing I can find wrong with it.

Just showing off the rig. Color is light Khaki Metallic. My hope is to go in a CJ inspired retro direction with it. Will definitely be doing some wheeling, but being in flat Florida, I likely won’t be turning it into a behemoth capable of scaling mountains. Further down towards “beach cruiser” on the modification spectrum

Anybody have a Light Khaki Metallic rig that they’re proud of? Would love to see pics!
